Here you'll find some of our frequently asked questions and the answers we have to those!
How long have you been photographing weddings? Together we have photographed weddings for the past two years, separately we've been photographing portraits and weddings for over six years. What equipment do you use? We both are Canon lovers, we have multiple camera bodies, lenses and lighting equipment but we primarily shoot with Canon 5D Mark IIIs and 6Ds. Are you insured or licensed? Yes we are both licensed and insured. What if I only need one photographer instead of two? In our years of shooting weddings we have found that having one photographer is much more of a limited experience for the couple and we just aren't wanting our clients to miss out on special shots of their big day that can only be captured by having two photographers available for that day. We don't want an engagement session, can we swap something else in for that in our wedding package? You are more than welcome to trade your engagement session out for a 16 x 20 metal print of any image from your wedding but we are unable to swap for anything else or take off any amount if you forego the engagement session. I'm clueless on where to begin with my wedding plans, any suggestions on where to go next? When you hire us to help you with your photography needs for your wedding day, we also are very active in the planning process with you. We will have two pre-consultations together before your wedding day, one before your engagement session when we meet initially and another right before your wedding to get all of the details finalized. During these consultations we will help you with any of the planning and we have lots of suggestions and recommendations on local vendors we have worked with in the past. What do you require to book with you? If you'd like to book with us we require a 50% retainer to be put down to reserve your date, this retainer is non-refundable and the remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date. We only book one wedding per weekend so the sooner you are able to put your retainer down, the more likely we will have your date available! We just need your retainer fee and a signed contract to book with us, and both can be done electronically if you prefer. Do I have any rights to the images you take? You will have printing rights to the images, the copyrights remain with us, the photographers. You are welcome to share your images on your personal social media accounts, print for friends and family and use for cards or personal use. You are not allowed to alter or edit the images in any way or to sell the images for profit of any sort.
